Baby Hat

Baby O has some adorable pajamas that have elephants on them, but they didn't have a hat to match.  So, I made one to go with them!  The outfit was so cute, I decided he should wear it home from the hospital.  Of course, both the pj's and the hat are way too small now. . .

First I traced a hat we already had

I cut a rectangle piece for the rim

Pinned then sewed the hat part

Pinned and sewed the rim part

Pinned the rim part to the main part and sewed it up

Ta-Da!  A hat!

Now for the elephant

Stitching the patch on

All Done!

As you can see, I was still very pregnant in this picture!  In fact, I finished the hat the night before Baby O was born.  I guess he knew we were ready for him once his little outfit was complete!
