A while ago, we took a little trip up to Grants Pass to watch the horse races. It was the first time for any of us to go see horse races and it was pretty fun. The best part was that we could have a noisy baby and no one minded at all. In fact, people thought he was pretty cute!
All in all, it was a fun day!

Scandi Fest
Last weekend we were in Eugene to pick up our darling Daisy and switch back to our car, and it was also the Scandinavian Festival in Junction City, so we, of course, went! It is always fun to look at the crafts and eat some delicious food.

National Parks
While on vacation for the family reunion, we managed to see four national parks in one week. It was awesome!
First, we stayed the night at Great Basin National Park in Nevada, where we hiked up to see the Bristlecone Pine trees, which are thousands of years old:
Our next stop was at Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. It was kinda stormy, so we didn't get to do much hiking, but the historic settlement of Fruta was really fun to see:
After we met up with family, we went to Canyonlands National Park. We got to see petroglyphs and ruins, and we hiked to where we could see the Needles. Someday we will have to do a longer hike and actually go in to the Needles:
The next day we went with family to Arches National Park and hiked to Delicate Arch. It was hot, but fun and definitely worth it.
Someday we want to see all the National Parks, so we can now check these four off our list!

Family Reunion
This past week we had a great time in southern Utah reuniting with Clint's family. Clint's amazing Grandma rented a lodge for all of us to stay in kinda near Moab where we got to ride 4-wheelers and paddle boats, visit national parks, and just hang out with family! Here are some pictures of the festivities:
It was a great week and we are sad that it is over, but are looking forward to the next reunion in two years!
