Baby Hat

Baby O has some adorable pajamas that have elephants on them, but they didn't have a hat to match.  So, I made one to go with them!  The outfit was so cute, I decided he should wear it home from the hospital.  Of course, both the pj's and the hat are way too small now. . .

First I traced a hat we already had

I cut a rectangle piece for the rim

Pinned then sewed the hat part

Pinned and sewed the rim part

Pinned the rim part to the main part and sewed it up

Ta-Da!  A hat!

As you can see, I was still very pregnant in this picture!  In fact, I finished the hat the night before Baby O was born.  I guess he knew we were ready for him once his little outfit was complete!

Backpacking

A little while ago my parents and sister came down to go on a quick backpacking trip with us into the Sky Lakes Wilderness.  We just hiked two and a half miles into the Twin Heavenly Lakes, stayed the night and hiked back out the next morning.

It rained on us and Baby O was having a hard time for a little while, but other than that, it was a great trip!  It's always nice to get out into nature for a little while . . .

In June (I know, I'm a little behind the times!) we took a trip to Bend for a conference for Clint's work.  It was so nice to get away for a few days and stay at a nice resort and have a good, relaxing time!

Rollin' Along!

Last week, Baby O rolled over for the first time!  Clint was with O in the living room after work while I was making dinner.  I heard Clint encouraging Baby to reach for his toy and the next thing I heard was Clint calling for me to hurry and come see Baby O rolling over.  Of course, I just missed it, but I did snap a couple pictures of the aftermath.

Since then, Baby has rolled over a few more times, and I have been lucky enough to witness it!

Temple Square Photo Shoot

While we were in Utah, we went to Temple Square and had a grand old time!  Before we left, we took some pictures in front of the Temple, and I think some turned out really well. . .
